energy savings can be achieved by using heated, high-performance radiant floors with capillaries.<\/p>\n<p>When making these radiant floors, there is no need for a solid concrete layer, as with traditional radiant floors.<\/p>\n<p>The capillary systems operate with a maximum heating medium temperature of 37\u00baC, with a temperature difference of 2\u00baC.<\/p>\n<p>Efficient radiant floors (very low water content 0.3 litres\/sqm) can be produced with particularly simple methods of execution, operating in a homogeneous, low-temperature radiant thermal field.<\/p>\n<p>Radiant heated floors are the most efficient and effective solution, because the thermal agent is water, the capillaries work with very low water content, the efficiency of the radiant heating system is 4 times higher than the efficiency of air heating systems.<\/p>\n<p>Significant energy and space savings can be terms of execution. In general, there are two types of applications, -heated floors, which operate on a monolithic reinforced concrete structure, respectively -heated floors, made by installing capillary mats on dry backing slabs.<\/p><p>In both cases, thermal insulation between the capillary mats and the surface of the reinforced concrete slab &#8211; i.e. the supporting surface &#8211; is recommended to increase the energy efficiency of the heating.<\/p><p>In the case of the second dry-board support, the use of metal fixing systems for the boards is indicated, -or the use of wooden battens, thus creating a gap between the lower surface of the support board and the supporting structure. This layer of air, about 3 cm thick, acts as a layer of insulation, and greatly increases the energy efficiency of the heated radiant floor.<\/p><p>The most important advantage of radiant floors heated with capillary mats, apart from the fact that there is no need for thick concrete (as with traditional underfloor heating), is the particularly fast reaction of the capillary-heated floor. The massiveness of the structure covering the capillary heating mats is much smaller than that of conventional underfloor heating systems, so the thermostat signals the actuator of the heating hydraulic circuit and within minutes, the room feels warm. With conventional, thick concrete systems, this system reaction can take several hours.<\/p><p>Another advantage of these applications is the dynamics of the shape. Basically, capillary mats can cover surfaces of any shape.
